Saturday, March 7, 2026
1-3pm

Learn the basics of winter fruit tree pruning in this hands-on workshop designed for home orchardists and gardeners. We’ll cover why and when to prune during the dormant season, how to make thoughtful cuts, and what to look for in a healthy, well-structured tree. The class will also introduce essential winter fruit tree care practices to help set the stage for a successful spring.

After an indoor overview, we’ll take a short walk to a nearby community garden to practice pruning together on one of the garden’s fruit trees.

All tools are provided. Feel free to bring pruners, loppers, or gloves if you have them. No prior experience is necessary.

Tuition: $40
