Refunds & Credits

  • You may request a full refund (tuition + materials fee) if you cancel within 24 hours of registering.

  • If you cancel 30 days or more before the workshop start date, you may receive a full class credit (tuition + materials fee) to apply toward a future workshop.

  • If you cancel 14 days or more but less than 30 days before the workshop, you may receive a 50 % class credit (tuition only).

  • For cancellations less than 14 days before the workshop (or no-shows), no credit or refund will be issued unless we are able to fill your spot (in which case a 50% tuition credit may be offered).

  • Credits are valid for 12 months from the original workshop date, and may be transferred to another person upon request with at least 7 days’ notice.

How to Cancel

All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to hello@craftfolkcollective.com. Please include your name, the workshop you registered for, and your registration date. Once a cancellation is accepted, we will issue the appropriate refund or credit according to the timeline above.

What Happens If Craftfolk Cancels?

If Craftfolk Collective must cancel a workshop (for example, due to instructor illness, or not meeting the minimum enrollment), we reserve the right to cancel up to 24 hours before the class and will offer a credit, refund, or reschedule. If we reschedule the class for a later date and you cannot attend the rescheduled date, we will issue a full credit (tuition + materials) valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation.

In the event a workshop is cancelled due to force majeure (for example: extreme weather, fire, flood, pandemic, governmental order, civil unrest, or other circumstances beyond our control), no refunds will be provided — but a full credit will be issued for future use within 12 months.

Transfers

If you are unable to attend your registered workshop, you may transfer your spot to another individual if the request is made via email at least 7 days before the workshop start date. The new attendee must register formally or provide required information. Transfer requests are subject to availability and must be approved by Craftfolk Collective.

Materials

Most workshops include all tools and materials unless otherwise noted. If your registration indicates a materials fee, that fee is non-refundable within 30 days of the workshop or after material kits have been shipped.

Accessibility & Special Needs

Our space is designed to be welcoming and accessible. If you have specific access needs or require accommodations, please contact us in advance so we can make necessary arrangements. We aim to support inclusive participation in all our workshops.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to engage respectfully with instructors, fellow students, and materials. Craftfolk Collective reserves the right to remove a participant from a workshop if behaviour undermines a safe, inclusive, and constructive learning environment. No refund or credit will be offered in such cases.

Participants are expected to arrive on time and be ready to work. If you arrive late, instructors may adjust class flow or content; no refund is provided for late arrival.

Eligibility Criteria

Participants in our regular workshops must be at least 18 years old. For family classes, children and teens under 18 are welcome but must attend with a participating adult.

Liability and Safety

Craftfolk workshops are hands-on and take place in an active craft studio, which means there are natural risks that come with working with tools, materials, and equipment. All participants will be asked to review and sign our Studio Liability Release before taking part in any class. This form explains the types of risks involved and helps ensure we are all entering the space with clarity and care.

A link to the waiver will be emailed to you before your workshop. Please take a moment to read and sign the form, and reach out if you have any questions.

Health and Wellness

If you are feeling sick, experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or have recently been exposed to someone who is ill, please stay home. You can refer to current CDC guidance if you are unsure about next steps. If you need to discuss accommodations or options for your registration, email us at hello@craftfolkcollective.com and we will do our best to help.

Masks are optional at all Craftfolk classes and events, and you are welcome to wear one at any time.

Class Size

To keep our workshops welcoming and hands-on, studio classes are limited to small groups, typically up to 12–15 participants plus the instructor. Outdoor or off-site classes may allow slightly larger groups depending on the location.

What we offer

Weekend and evening craft workshops, community craft nights, seasonal creative events, and free creative resources - all in a warm and inclusive space.
